As a working IT manager I am very concerned to read of the – apparently – draconian, illiberal, and frankly just plain stupid proposals contained in the RIP Bill – particularly in the light of the rapidly increasing importance of, and reliance on, e-mail systems together with the growing pressure to adopt e-commerce.

As my MP what assurances can you give that my fears are in fact unfounded, and, if you cannot do this what measures are you proposing to adopt to ensure that such a fundamentally flawed piece of legislation never makes the statute book?
